Im sure it can be argued compulsory voting does not result in better Govt or outcomes. Just look at Australia Govt since the Hawk/Keating years. Also must be a good likelihood that a %40 turnout is a strong enough sample size to represent an accurate prediction of a result. Still i do tend to think voting should be compulsory which is ironic since i rarely vote lol.
