Hi Dino3. The 19% was quoted by a panelist on Q&A. I accepted that at face value.
The figure may actually be higher than that as the only point of comparison I can make
is with the 2012 figures as I could not find the voting age population beyond that
if we assume there has been no increase in the number that met the voting age
and use the 2012 figures there were 235,248,000.
So using roundings thats about 27%.
Even at 27% its still a very small percentage of the voting age population
and Hillary Clinton will have received a slightly higher percentage,
Therefore Trump was still elected with a lower vote than Clinton as well as
having only received less than a third of the vote compared to the population that met the voting age.
