He was on the board, no exec position. Round 2010 he had round 12% holding. At one stage his company 'Australian Heritage Group' supplied PYC with a company secretary. Also he and PYC started a company 'Dynamic Microbials' (in 2007 or 2008) that had the licence to scan Phylomer libraries for anti-microbials. Later PYC bought Barton's share back for PYC script.
