Can anyone explain to me why the 'successful porting" was NOT included in the Company Update just 2 days before the actual announcement - or indeed, well before that.

It is totally clear, from the wording of the 'successful porting' announcement that the porting was completed WELL BEFORE the Company Update - but no mention of it at all!

This is clear from these two sentences in the 'successful porting' announcement:

"Following the successful porting of ADRC, the Company is now in discussions with clients of the chipset manufacturers, with the aim of reaching licensing
agreements.

Xped has seen a high level of interest from all direct introductions made from the chipset manufacturers to date"

Are we to believe that sometime between 11.54am on the 16 Nov and 11.34am on the 18 Nov, that Xped:

1. Received confirmation from 2 separate companies that porting had been completed
2. Were introduced to multiple clients of the 2 companies,
3. Had commenced discussions with these companies, and
4. Had 'seen a high level of interest from them'?

Clearly, the timing was 'engineered' and requires explanation.

It is quite probable, given the status of the introductions/discussions that the successful porting was known well before the Trading Halt.
