No. There are only leaf baskets, 2 in total. It's only leaves that get into the gutters for the most part

I have the old system coming off the 12m x 12m shed that used to be the weekender. 4 x 90mm downpipes going below ground and joining coming up as 2 pipes next to the tank going up and over into the leaf basket.
The house was built later and slightly lower. Verandahs give a good catchment and the 70mm? downpipes all link up to a single 90mm? pipe that fills a smaller 3,000L tank with a submersible pump. That has a leaf basket and ball cock float to trigger the pump that fills the big tank through a 30mm? hose. Amazingly the pump can handle a good downpour + it has the capacity of the tank in reserve because the pump range is only the lower 25% of the tank.
With almost 150sqm for the shed and a good 350sqm for the house roof and verandahs, that's 500,000L for this year with over 1,000mm of rain so far. That means I could have another couple of 135,000L tanks but just one is more than enough, including watering.
The shed has 2 threaded caps at the end of 2 long pipes taking the water away nearer the creek line and the house system has 1 capped drain pipe also well away from the house towards the creek line.
The tank was overflowing in January last year and the caps were off for most of the winter.
