If you had had such a wonderful crystal ball you would have kept on borrowing (using the funds to buy property in Sydney / Melb). Life would have been very sweet now if you could have seen through that crystal ball when you were taking one at the time for 'team Australia'.
Though that brings me to another point (which isn't directly politics yet but it will be). Sydney / Melbourne housing is (to me) a property bubble of unsustainable proportions. The average Joe on the street can no longer afford a simple dwelling, One day its going to go pop and then watch the carnage. I was also around when Pyramid / Bank of Melbourne imploded and that was a sight to watch. The politicians will be earning their dough the day that little pop happens.
