I went along. The mood was surprisingly positive post the presentation and during the Q&A. I won’t pretend to understand the more technical aspects of the presentation but from a commercialisation perspective the emphasis was on the two HIV trials being the parts needed for a data package to deal with big pharma. Being able now to do the treatment interruption trial with the ‘humanised’ mice was seen as a big deal because it was a pretty hard ask before with human subjects to ask them to stop taking whatever was keeping their viral load down. Best part was hearing from a chap there who specialised in commercialisation, forget his name, who was very positive about a deal being done, presuming positive results from the two trails were in place. Resolutions followed the presentation and Q&A and only one person voted against the rem report that I saw.
