While I applaud your contribution to the cons & enjoy many of your posts I'm not sure you are on the right track with your thinking here.
I take absolute joy in the recent CR as what the directors are doing is pivoting via an agile environment to get the best bang for shareholders bucks!
Gary & Rahul have been spruiking the change in the mobile environment because they are leaders in thought & hence we are seeing the likes of AT&T doing exactly as they have predicted transforming from a telephony to an entertainment company. The over 70% drop in wholesale rates has effectively opened up a new angle with the OTT services, so with that they are moving quickly to take advantage. The test was also in the Pokemon promotion (AT&T only) which must have been a success proving up the post paid market which they alluded to in the meeting. The huge wholesale pricing would have had everything to do with the new CR!

A: Let me tackle dataflex first – intentionally delaying the full launch waiting on iOS– android versions don’t have the feature parity, since the majority of BYOD users are iphone users, we wanted to be market ready before we started the sales side. We are ramping up the sales side ready for sales next year. I would say our download numbers have exceeded our expectations.
Download numbers have exceeded expectations so not sure how you come to that conclusion if they are well ahead of plan. The TATA deal also changed from once annual payment to monthly subscription. Let's not also forget that the launch was around August so not much time for the revenue factor & not forgetting all uptake so far has been without any form of advertising so will be interesting to see how this changes if part of the recent CR cash is for this goal.
These guys as previous have their fingers well & truly on the pulse of this beast & I am confident we are in exceptional hands ...GLTAH!
