Gravity - you are drawing a very long bow when you say Martin is better than "whoever" you are talking about - the former XPE management and staff. How can you possibly know, for example, that Martin is 'better' than John Stefanac?
He might be - but we need to see what he achieves first. Plenty of people with first rate CV's (which Martin appears to have) have failed in particular jobs.
I have an open mind about Martin, am positive about what he can potentially achieve but lets not be blinded by our rose-coloured glasses.
One of the things I am looking for from him - given his Intel background - is to secure 'invitational' membership of Intel's IoT Solutions Alliance. Xped has 'general' membership of the Alliance but to get into Intel's IoT 'inner circle' it requires platinum or gold membership.
This would be a strong sign that Intel is 'really' interested in ADRC - other than just engaging in co-marketing of Intel products with an ADRC stack.
Here's the explanation of the different memberships and why it is important to secure membership of the 'inner circle':
Membership Overview
The Intel® Internet of Things Solutions Alliance program has four tiers. The Premier, Associate, and Affiliate membership levels are invitation-only, based on criteria such as ecosystem alignment, business objectives, and technology advancement. The fourth tier, General members, is by application.
Our Vision
The Intel Internet of Things Solutions Alliance seeks to build a strong and sustainable market advantage through a solution-centered ecosystem program based on Intel® architecture. We work to drive revenue growth and market share for our members.
Member companies are committed to developing modular, standards-based building blocks, platforms, and solutions based on technologies, processors, products, and services from Intel. By aligning with Intel and using standards-based, modular building blocks, Intel Internet of Things Solutions Alliance members provide their customers with a full range of performance, faster time to profit, greater opportunity for innovation, easier software development, and a trusted supply line based on the Intel® Embedded Platform Roadmap.
