Highest point in WA is Mount Meharry at 1,250m. Tom Price is approximately 750m. The 20 highest points in WA are all in the Hamersely range. It is an advantage of the Pilbara iron ore railways that the run to Port Headland is all downhill and relatively constant. When you drive around the Pilbara you do not notice any steep hills or climbs even when you are in and around the high elevation points. Simialr to teh vedlt in South Africa. Out of interest Bluff knoll in the South West (often cited as the highest point in WA) is only 1,070m.
The 20 highest points in Cameroon range from 4,000m to just above 2,000m. Have a look on google earth at the Pilbara and then at the Congo Craton. Very different topography and landscape.
