Thanks TTH.
Re your first point...Good pickup. I don't believe it includes any solar cells. I've gone back to Mundz recording...that bit is at 1:15:33 - and I can't decipher what Simon says - so what I've transcribed is wrong. Perhaps @NavyDiver and others can confirm. I imagine Redflow is just pricing the battery installation as that is their focus.
Re you second point...I agree that if the other components with the 3 year warranty are cheaper and easier to replace, it may be wise for Redflow to build these into their upfront cost for the gen 3 battery and include them in the 10 year warranty - or - better explain the ease and lower cost to replace items in the 3 year warranty. I agree that consumers who spend $15 - #20k have an expectation that the entire system will last more than 3 years. (Maybe not the early adopters or true believers as Simon calls them but certainly mainstream). I understand the analogy with cars...but community expectations are vastly different for a endemic, transport 'need' compared to an emerging, energy-storage 'want' (at this stage anyway). I also understand the need for any company to not over-promise and over-reach its future cash flow.
