The RAD is guaranteed by the government on behalf of the aged care provider.
IE in the event that EHE goes bankrupt (the very thing we are debating is a real possibility) the individual who has paid a RAD to EHE will have it paid back on their behalf by the government.

Is my lump sum refund guaranteed?
The Australian Government guarantees the repayment of your lump sum if the aged care home becomes bankrupt or insolvent and is unable to refund the balance of your lump sum.
This means that you can be sure that your refundable accommodation deposit balance will be refunded to you or your estate.
