I would love to see a 50% return in 12 months but I am trying to be a little realistic. I really don't think people appreciate what beaten up stocks can do when the cycle does turn. And yes take your pick across the resource space and some of the performances are nothing short of stunning. FMG for example hated by all and sundry just in January, the stock was going to get buried by it's debt pile according to some. Look at that puppy now. I bought at $1.50 and sold at $2.00 so I know how painful it can be when one sells one of these types of stocks too early. By the way as I write QBE looks to be comfortably breaking above the August high of $11.47, next resistance at $12.50 I think. Bring on the December rate hike, let's make it a reality.
