Synthetic fuels technology is far more developed than many people realise, and fewer still are aware of the fact that much of the world's energy requirements could be met by material considered to be waste today. The technology also has considerable implications for pollution reduction and water and nutrient recycling, not to mention ghg reductions and a blow to oil funded ME terrorism. Certainly a developing sector with enormous potential.
