Lithium is not the answer Szaba, as soon as someone builds a solid state battery, Lithium batteries will disappear IMO. The costs you speak of above are already there..... so I see that as an end sum game IMO.
If you think things are going to stand still you need to look around you. I see fossil fuels as one of the last frontiers for technology to tackle. The vested interests are very powerful but IMO they will one day be gazumped by technology. DB
