for the many by the few lets get a few things straight about the ar15
1) it is not an assault weapon
2) the AR stands for armalite rifle the name of the company, not automatic rifle nor assault rifle
3) it is not an assault rifle mainly because it is not a select fire type of rifle such as the m16
4) it cannot fire 700 rounds in 1 minute as a us senator stated to which he was immediately challenged
5) for this to be used in australia it would not be issued for big game such as the camel. the ar15 uses a 223 or 556 round. for a rifle to be used on a camel, donkey or any other sizable animal it must be at least a 30 cal normally a 308. thats one reason i have a 308 or 762
6) the media uses that term as a generic in their bid to wholesale ban all rifles and firearms.
