you may be right, but their last placement in August 2005 did not have a trading halt. the only other suspension that they have had before yielded good news..
here are some possible scenario's.
1. placement drilling at say 30% of their initial 14 well targets. thats 4 wells at about 650k per well so maybe around $2.6M
2. report on the other 14 wells from which estimates were not concluded.
3. an increase in the stake held in devon energy prospects
i could be wrong altogether, pure speculation but the company has seen increased trading over the past week and it has all been positive indicating that the placement option is not the main news... they may do a combo spin of placement and some upgrade of resources all in one..
any other guesses?
