I note that the Turnbull Govt was able to get thru $6-8 bill of budget savings with that omnibus bill ... to achieve that they had to sack both houses, face an election, then negotiate with a new cross bench, all that being no mean or quick feat ... I will concede that is a long way short of what needs to be done with middle class welfare.
