    Liberal party under Abbott where facing inevitable defeat under Abbott, the fact that LNP went from 46% to 54% as soon as Abbott was dumped shows just how unpopular Abbott was and vindicated that action.

    Turnbull has not quite meet the expectations, could be for a number of reasons but it is obvious that the conservatives are constraining him.

    No for the Liberal party to dump a leader so soon would give the impression of disunity and dysfunction, having said that the conservative are doing that now.

    As it is LNP are only just behind in the polls, just about within the margin of error so there is no compelling reason to change leader
