Perhaps the rumours are actually true and it is those that are now selling that are falling into a trap?

I am not saying you are wrong, nor do I actually know.

You asked... "Why would the management put out such a silly pointless announcement? ..as the one put out today?"

Perhaps the reason is that they needed to give something to the market due to their previously announced activities and timeframes, combined with the SP appreciation.

Now the announcement MAY have been a "what is the minimum we can let go now" type announcement so as not to blow the lid off of the whole thing before they acquire the extra four blocks.

Spectulation on my part but well worth the time to stop and think about for the savvy investor.

Time and the market will tell in the end, it always does, but in my experience of 24 years trading a knee jerk reaction without serious consideration rarely provides a positive return.

This management are certainly not dummies, as you seem to believe, perhaps, just maybe, they are actually smarter than we give them credit for and just maybe this is an exampkle of the old adage, "sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind!"??
