These are some of the products that CCE and EMC have included in projects built so far, all are modular and scaleable:

Lithium has been the battery of choice so far but both branches of the company have shown that they are not locked in to any particular technology. In fact they have shown that they are quite open to try almost anything.

Containerised V-flow battery technology has obviously been identified as something that will add capacity to the type of micro grids that they want to build.

Most of the projects that EMC have done so far have been in remote areas of WA, with the exception of Alkimos Beach. Their methodology is to build and containerise most of the systems required for the micro grid at their plant in Perth and transport it by truck or barge to the site.

They are able to assemble the micro grid quite quickly on site, as most of the hard work has been done back at the factory.

Western Australia's energy suppliers Western Power, Horizon and Synergy have all used EMC for projects in various parts of the state.

To me, the fact that CCE is collaborating with the likes of ABB and Sumitomo, is a sure sign that they want to grow their business in a big way.

CCE, SEI, ABB, Makwater and TNG could be doing a lot together and it won't just be in WA.

I don't know enough about V-flow batteries to say what the potential impact of this collaboration will be on your company but I am sure some of you would have a pretty good idea.
