Problem with fundamental analysis is that it relies on CEOs being absolutely honest in a timely fashion, and not allowing any information to leak from their organisation's staff, directors and family members or related contractors prior to announcements to market.
When we start seeing daily prosecutions for misleading the market and insider trading, with criminal penalties, I might start relying on the information companies give out as the basis for fundamental analysis. Until then, I'll use share volume movements to tell me when something is awry.
By the way, have you ever thought of using an index fund, you might find it saves you a great deal of time, and you'll get pretty much the same result as stock picking in the top 200?
