This board need some serious rejuvenation and fast. Four of the five members have held their position for 14, 12, 11 and 11 years respectively. Dead wood, stale, complacent, lazy does not cut it for a company that has the international potential such as Sirtex. They may have got away with being lucky jockeys on a decent thoroughbred thus far, but we need higher caliber adults in charge now to drive this baby forward and reach full potential.
Katherine Woodthorpe has only been there since 2015 but she only got the gig because SRX were under the pump at the time for not having female representation on the board. From the sounds of it from a Hotcopper member that spoke to her at an AGM, she was quite happy with the status quo of inadequate shareholder communications. This is a serious turning point for SRX, I just hope it is for the better. In fact aim sure it is.
