There's over $9 billion dollars worth of nickel in the ground based on current prices.

The issues are that its fairly low grade (0.6%) and also its a nickel laterite deposit, not a sulphide deposit. I believe that laterites are harder to process than sulphides, though there are some large low grade laterite deposits being developed using newer processing technology.

The nickel is fairly close to surface (a common feature of laterites as I understand it) - only about 40m down I believe. Think its also fairly close to infrastructure because their monger gold project is not too far away and thats all fairly close to infrastructure.

There's 30 M tonnes at 0.64% Ni for 192,800 contained tonnes of Nickel.

This company also looks like it could potentially have an economic open cut gold mining operation on the cards if the wombola dam extension drilling proves succesful.

Given the very low market cap it seems like one worth watching.
