Yes, past drilling at Mt Berghaus did return similar grades and lengths of intercepts, all from fairly shallow ground. But it was the fragmented nature of these deposits that saw DEG wander off overseas instead (much to the disgust of those of us who felt that pursuing the Turner River prospect was core business and incomplete), and JV partners concentrated on Wingina Well where there was a similar high grade deposit, but one less fragmented and more likely to be economic at the right time.

I think this deposit could well be in production in a couple of years. Southern Cross JV nearly did just that before their takeover and diversion to a better opportunity. But explorers aren't miners, so it might not be DEG. Their board has made some atrocious decisions over the past few years (for example blowing many millions in South America without appreciating the complexities of the politics there), and despite some good board changes recently, its unlikely they have the expertise to find a good second hand CIL plant and operating team and get on with it. If they did, they might well be doing that right now at Wingina Well, and using the profits to fund further exploration at Mt Berghaus and beyond. So in the meantime keep drilling, prove up an economic resource (in addition to Wingina Well, and look out for a cashed up, and highly experienced, low cost mining operation to JV with into production......
