Looking at the reported short positions for 16th December (the most recent available), it seems that only 0.1% of A2M market cap is short. This is in contrast to the 13th December (the most recent that ASIC's daily reports go to), where 3.44% was shorted.
UBS's transactions (that probably only changed their position very slightly, just tipping over into a substantial holder) happened on the 14th, so it would appear that they and other shorters had largely closed out their position by the 16th. Of course, we have no way of knowing if shorting went on yesterday, but it seems to me that we should be no more concerned about shorting that one would usually be. That is, the fundies seem to have closed out, at least as of the 16th.
If anyone knows how to get 14-15 December data before ASIC reports it, please do share, it might give a more complete picture.

Sincere question, am I missing something here? It could just be my optimism and relative inexperience talking.
