Can't believe some of you think AVQ is the only one in the running for Kolosori and with shane.hardy getting inside info from AVQ, then by the very inference it is biased. So here's an alternative take - not a down ramp - from someone who spent years living in the Solomons. Kolosori is not about AVQ v SMM . They have both tried to bully and conjole the govt to the point of the Govt being interested to take anyone else. But that is just the behaviour of those two crapping in there own nests. The real game is China. Solomon Islands MP's get direct cash patronage paid direct to the individual from Taiwan, cleaned up to look legit under the guise of something called the "Rural Development Fund", turning MP's into what the locals call "walking ATM machines". These funds ensure the Solomons keeps voting for Taiwan at the UN. Not too much of a leap to see China loving nothing better than to break this grip as part of its wider Pacific Strategy now under way. Kolosori is really the only mineral asset the Solomons has and represents a micro pawn in China's new great game. With chinese money bags moving behind the scenes under normal Solomons operating procedures (well honed on the back of years of state sanctioned illegal international logging), won't take too much to get a few laws changed so a Chinese govt owned company can provide "development to the Solomons" by way of Kolosori. Result, bye bye AVQ and the old foe SMM. This may seem like nonsense to many of you, but if you have lived and worked there long enough (I certainly have) and seen with open mouth astonishment and awe how the opaqueness of the place rolls to get whatever outcome serves those who make the laws, this is a valid premise. Likewise, this is no different from the naivete shown by so many posters taking as default that there is some sort of equal playing field going on behind the scenes and it is just about waiting. AVQ shareholders have only one string left in the bow, cross fingers behind the back and wait and wait and wait for SuperRM to fly in and get the deal across the line with the govt. So only one question we need to ask. Who will win this little game of Real Politic? A company representative on 15k per week or the number two nation in the world with aggressive sites on strategic control in the Pacific? For the record, I'm selling. Bought some three months ago to ride up a bit with the last CR pump - just sick of the blah blah blah now. Happy to take a bullet to rid me of the stink. Those still holding, genuinely hope it works out for you.
