I agree - marketing is going to be crucial for this product to reach its potential. I'm happy to leave it till the launch at CES in Jan - but I'd be looking for Nuheara to have some major marketing and distribution happening. Timing is crucial. I think it will sell itself - but only if people hear about it and even experience it themselves.
On the one hand there is no point in spending major $$$ marketing a brand new product with no product availability. Nuheara doesn't have deep pockets for this luxury. So what they seem to be doing now is getting some talking happening behind the scenes.
On the other hand - if they wait too long some heavy hitters will saturate the market with their products. The best product doesn't always win.. I'm sure we all have favourite cafes / restaurants that closed because they didn't know how to attract business.
Marketing will have to be slick and well thought out to be effective, rapidly, and without bankrupting them..
