"the growing mass of Australians that we could define as politically illiterate."
"They're the same unaware/unconscious mob that voted Pauline in '96 "
"These are the useful idiots that have been courted and cajoled by rightwing pollies for the last 20 yrs, playing up to their low political consciousness"
From Wiki'
"Hanson first entered politics as a member of Ipswich City Council in 1994. She joined the Liberal Party of Australia in 1995 and was preselected for the Division of Oxley at the 1996 federal election, but was disendorsed shortly before the election. Although listed on the ballot paper as the Liberal Party candidate, she won Oxley as an independent."
Pierogi I won't drop down to your level of insult and accuse you of being a politically illiterate idiot but dare I suggest that you are uninformed or numerically challenged or ignorant at best since MP Pauline Hanson won the Hof R seat of Oxley in 1996, not a QLD senate seat, so your growing mass cannot mathematically be that "same unaware/unconscious mob that voted Pauline in '96" !
In fact many of us "useful idiots" of "low political consciousness" are politically semiconscious Victorians, SAs, WAs, NSWs etc who've never even had the opportunity to vote for PHON or Pauline herself yet we still believe in a smaller gov't.
That means not only fewer and lower taxes but also far less welfare for the lazy and no more handouts to illegal country shoppers.
That means, for the uninformed ignorant Left, balancing the budget and paying off your debt and deficit that you useful-idiot Labor/Greens voters had Rudd Gillard Swan Shorten Wong and Bowen deliberately thrust, impose, inflict upon us and our grandkids.
