I agree with the Bunnings analogy. Jus tbecuase there has been successful porting and testing of the technology is still a far cry from what an actual licensing agreement brings with it. As you mentioned - you can have a great, successful sounding product on paper but it doesn't mean anything if the vast majority don't want to license it or use it in their tech.
The defining issue isn't that there isn't enough people licensing it, but the fact that no one has licensed it to date. Not a single one. People can retire their thoughts until 2020 or whenever it may be, but given the current information the only thing certain is a lot of MOU's and "interest" but nothing beyond that - YET.
