The hardware difference between ADRC and the others is that it requires a NFC antenna on the gateway, so that the mobile device can be paired with the system to start. Would this be part of the standard Intel gateway chip, or is this a mini PCIE card which plugs in? That may mean that the entire stack could be on the card, rather than on the Intel gateway chip directly.
As far as I understand, porting can result in either outcome. It could be an advantage, where you can just buy the card to plug into the port on the gateway that you already own ....
