Hi all,
Just thought you might be interested in another observation, I'm sure many of you are already onto it. Before I comment I just want to highlight a paragraph from this AN ...
"In addition, the GoAP will support the Company’s participation in significant projects in Andhra Pradesh, wherever feasible. Such participation may include providing advisory services, setting up manufacturing facilities, infrastructure development, R&D, and implementation support. Through this relationship, the Company is aiming to support the development of infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh, leveraging the Government’s focus on promoting manufacturing and industrialization in the state and facilitating a conducive investment environment."
I find this to be an amazing paragraph.
1st reason)
Advisory Services: - During the Pilbara boom there was a substantial increase in the number of middle management companies. These companies managed contracts for BHP, RIO etc., overseeing the engineering and construction of projects such as rail lines, mining infrastructure, stockyards and so on. When NSL say they might participate in providing advisory services, I wonder exactly what that means? Some of those middle management companies grew to be large entities in their own right.
Setting up manufacturing facilities: - I have a feeling this might mean more than pellet plants and steel mills.
Infrastructure development: - Again, what does this mean? In India there has already been much talk of the roads, rail lines and cities they're going to build. Could NSL be looking to move into the civil engineering side of things too? Tim posted about the Australian delegation that visited India recently, with emphasis on how Australia might assist with project building and the resources we might be able to supply, like advisory and management firms.
R&D with implementation support: - Here I can only say that I look forward to future announcements.
And to think that the Andhra Pradesh and Australian government both want to give us their support. Ah, just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Dream on guys, something brewing on the Indian horizon.
