With respect to Intel, you seem to be assuming that ADRC is likely to be a core (i.e. 'pre-set bundling') component of Intel's IoT platforms.

That may be the case, but in my view, due to Xped's non-core membership of the Solutions Alliance, it is much more likely to be part of the 'loose bundling' component.

The strategy components with respect to industrial IoT are explained in the following extract:

"Intel’s industrial IoT business captures value through a mixed bundling strategy:

• Selling components of its IoT Platform, including a portfolio of SoCs and CPUs, Wind River Intelligent Network Platforms, etc.
• Pre-set bundling: Intel Gateway Solution, a pre-integrated/validated platform, is a good example; it combines technologies from Intel Quark/Atom, McAfee and Wind River, and costs $3,000 per node, with perpetually licensed software support.
• Customized bundling: for instance, when delivering its IoT Gateway Platform to Chinese market, Intel stripped off its security component and adopted Chinese security standard, due to the local prohibition.
• Loose bundling: Intel provides over 280 different technologies for edge-to-cloud IoT solutions, and customers can pick their components to bundle respectively.

Note that the article is from March 2015 and that the number of 'loose bundling' technologies has grown exponentially from 280 (as detailed on the Solutions Alliance Register).
