Wasn't only CBA that the punters were buying today - all the banks up in an afternoon rush BUT on relatively low volumes.
I suspect that it was a lot of punters (as opposed to instos) taking an interest rate position before tomorrow's RBA announcement on rates. Obvioulsy some souls out there still thinking that they will cut rates!!
