True, oilers are not flavour of the month... this month.
The contrarian in me can't help wondering if this is the ideal time to be buying. COE at low prices, oilers out of favour right now and all kinds of posts moaning and groaning about COE's share price and managment.
... but something niggles at me that it could be a completely different story in 8 weeks time. The oil price might have just bounced, if so then it's up from here. Then it would be COE going in to drill with a favourable oil price and interest back in the sector.
Saw the same thing happen with CUV in the biotech sector back in August. There were calls for the CEO's head but now with the price up almost 200% it's all smiles. I called it a buy then and am happy to say I put my money where my mouth is. I'm calling COE a buy too with a tight stoploss and a careful eye on the oil price.
But do your own research - I get it wrong all the time.
