Yes returve as their agates slowly get squeezed in a vice of their own making a sound not unlike a fat lady singing may greet the new year, rising an octave for every cent gained... now that's my first New years wish dealt with back to the grind..
One thing for certain it is very much a watershed year for FAR as appraisal of SNE should be completed, by this time next year we will have:
1: PE resolved, well I hope so..that would be a game changer on many fronts if successfull and wouldn't change much from where we are now if not...
2: DJ resolved and possibly a new JV partner and a drilling date, assuming of course we go ahead with it.
3: At least Two wells drilled and tested, perhaps the last two appraisal wells in SNE for now, plus the possibility of option wells...also interference testing on the upper sands completed.
4: Very likely to have an increased 2C resource for a fourth time likely to take us over 700Mmbbls 2C.
5: A DOC and our first booked reserves.
6: As a result of #5 and more so number #1 we should have much clearer path to how we move forward and how we fund it.
7: FEED work advancing towards a FID probably in 2018.
8: More info on GB.
9: Depending on the option wells ( they will likely be the cheaper untested type), this year after the two firm wells are finished, expenditure should slow down considerably untill development begin probably nearer 2019.
10: I doubt any Bank or other financing options will be considered untill FID but #1 could change that.
11. Left field events...that could cover anything from new leases to a merger or even a TO and anything in between.
Obviously #1 is the event that would have the biggest impact as most other things are just part of the process required to reach production..
So where will the shareprice be by this time next year ? I haven't a clue and as a longtermer it doesn't really matter if they continue to tick off boxes and add longterm value, they have done that big time since the exploration drilling of Senegal began.
Obviously a higher shareprice will help if a CR is required but there is little that can be done about that, you can't force people to buy shares or stop them selling however compelling the story might be....the shareprice WILL look after itself over time if the value is there but it will be in it's OWN time not ours...
Cheers Whisky
