The panel of experts in Paris are saying rises of up to 6 degrees in the next 100 years.
Think about this: the human body has a temperature of 36.8 deg C. Any tiny fluctuation in this, say due to fever, causes the body to malfunction. While animals will have some coping mechanisms for higher temperatures, the plant world is much less adaptable.
The sort of changes needed surely are massive? Technology is the answer. New technology, particularly for clean burning coal and electric powered cars. That's how I see it anyway.
