"The CM also directed the Principal Secretary (to CM) to have GoAP work with NSL in an integrated manner to assist the set-up of a steel plant at Kadapa in addition to Orvakal."

I was doing a research on why steel plant in Kadapa?  Based on the copious amount of information, articles, TV news footages... what I gleaned is in the past Political parties had promised to set up a Steel plant in Kadapa. They had taken vast amount of agricultural lands from the farmers for setting up a plant. Then came various private parties to set up a plant. What appears half constructed steel plants too.  Then finally, reasons unknown, the project was shelved. Now those poor farmers who had given then land for the steel plant are furious for giving up the land for nothing.

Stage II-  Govt reopened the case and formed a committee to carry out feasibility studies. It appear that all Industry steel manufacturing and mining heavy weights were part of the committee. The verdict seems to be ITS NOT FEASIBLE MAINLY DUE TO LOW GRADE IRON ORE AVAILABLE IN KADAPA REGION!

Now , If NSL can get this Ball mills spit out  60 grade Iron Ore then there is a distinct possibility that 2nd Steel plant could be a reality, and a big political win for Mr Naidu! Hence the big push to set up a plant in Kadapa.
