1. I personally think they are saying they won't comment on media speculation because if they did it would only be confirming the worst. If I was a shareholder I would want them to take a couple of minutes to refute any negative press that is not correct, it would help the SP short term. We can agree to disagree there.
2. Yeah fair point, couple of the examples aren't overly relevant but I didn't take too long to collate the links.
3. A couple months ago I would have thought that they would have had to stop trading into order to discuss such things, yes. However perhaps they are hiding behind not needing to make an official announcement or stop trading because they are midway through an 'incomplete negotiation or proposal'.... I am just not sure.
I think the direct quote below from their announcement does confirm D4E at the least has been discussed. I can almost see management saying in future "we warned you in an announcement we were considering recapitalising the group and thats why we did not go into suspension"... I agree you would be filthy if you were buying at the moment and it was announced.
"The Company is working pro-actively and co-operatively with its Lenders to explore and manage options for the refinancing and recapitalisation of the Group."
Definitely open to discuss why you don't agree with my opinions above, this is what this forum is actually for.
