Your good old imperial England is aint in that good a shape today and is way at the bottom on bilateral trade if I remember. You keep insisting Australia past success was based on white / Europeans only, ever wonder what happens if Asia stops buying Aussie stuff?

USA already have a black president and you are still stuck in your white Australia days mentality of days gone by. Where have you been spending time all this while?

Last I read Australia is still predominantly white by a long mile. What you observed I believe are the Asians especially the younger ones tend to congregate to urban centers so the tendency to be more visible. And you would also be hard pressed to tell how many of them are visitors, temporary students, immigrants or local born.

Take a walk to Sydney cbd late at night and you can see the contrast Asians have brought to the city, a vibrant lively culture, food and social happenings which in the old days were non existent. Back in those old days of yours the only supper place can be found only in one place - Chinatown.

However, if you are complaining about high immigration numbers, yes I may believe there should review the policy. But if there is a cut it should be across the board and not target specific race or culture. And while we are at it. god help your age pension when baby boomers retiring goes full swing and there are not enough young people working to help pay tax.
