brucey, the reason that the placement wasn't offered to existing shareholders was the time factor- fox obviously wanted the funds in a hurry.
and in my view the reason the placement was made at $1.25 was that that was the best deal they could do-
I've said it before fox is overvalued and this placement vindicates this.
