A few corrections.... when I bought in I first bought SLR at .89 (later averaged down). At that time NST was also at 0.89 and it quickly rose 400% from there. At the same time I bought SAR for 0.11 that's right.. 11 cents. And looked what happened to SAR.
Gold went up and hovered around 1400 USD and profits were good... for all my gold stocks except SLR which dropped below 15 cents as we know. It's taken me 4 years to be back in the green on it and I'm reluctant to hang around as I don't think they are as good as other goodies and I've been burnt with this stock. . So I'm not sure at all that it was a bad time to buy in general 4 years ago but SLR has been a stinker. I'm OK to be out with a 25 % profit and if it falls again I'll happily get back in provided I felt it's at a safe level for re entry. If it continues to go up that's great for everyone else and I'll be happy for you .
