By comparison, I have a reasonable claim to neutrality. I don't own gold or gold stocks (since 2012). I am not short gold or gold stocks. I don't work for a financial institution (since 2010), and I own no shares in a financial institution (since 2007). I have nothing to gain by saying nice things about banks or saying nasty things about investing in gold. I just comment on what I see and read. If that happened to influence the PoG up or down (very unlikely), I take no benefit at all.

So why do I post on the gold forum?

I worked in the banking and gold trading and risk in the past, and I still find the subject interesting. And I am appalled at the misinformation that is accepted as fact. I don't like to see people mislead, or profiting from deception.
