There is no news to back this "gain" up. It is easy for a share to make gains like this after falling 90%+ off its highs.
When you go from $8 to 20c and then recover to 40c, the rise looks substantial but is really insignificant in the larger scheme of things (particularly in the absence of any news). Don't let the percentages hide the reality that this has been - and likely will continue to be - a terrible investment.
While it is great for day traders, trying to decipher why is a fool's errand.
