3-Mine policy will be gone by mid-year! And yes, it HAS to be a free for all!

THIS IS A FOREGONE DECISION!! Not only with the weight of force of the mining industry, financial windfalls etc, but also the potential legal action ... this is already being touted by uranium companies unless the 3 mine policy is abolished, and they are allowed to develope their own deposits.

    Its called "restriction of trade"

Why can BHP, Heathgate, ERA, & SXR mine uranium, while other companies are not allowed? Not only unfair, un-Australian, but is unconstitutional ... guarenteed to win in a class action court case, the only reason they havent is that the effort was never worth it ... NOW it is. Governement (Libs) know this, & Labour are being forced to. (Once they get their heads out their proverbials!!)

I f they "selectively" allowed only a "few" companies to go ahead - Who do they allow? What is the criteria?

Nah!! It will be a free for all, or nothing!!! Otherwise the courts will be clogged with U-mining litigation & appeals, etc etc.

One thing we can expect, is VERY tight safety, & environment restrictions & requirements to mine developement, mining, & end of mine land restoration.

Also: Expect tight compliance regulation of EXPORT licences.

The result will be that small deposits/U-companies will be swallowed up by the PDN's etc, who have the financial, politcal, & industry might to achieve all of the above.

    cheers
