The Reject Shop chairman William Stevens said he was optimistic after a “solid” festive period of trade. “Was it as bad as it might have been? Probably not,” he said.
“Trading around after Christmas was good, it was solid. Was it over the moon? No, but it was solid for us and that was good.”
