One would have to assume it's a threat. To what degree and how soon? I have no idea. The whole blockchain thing is something I'm not too knowleadgable about (to put it mildly), so perhaps other more tech savvy people can comment (@Klogg ?).
But then, as has been discussed in an earlier thread under this tag, there has already been much technological change in this space, and yet little 'ol ASW still has industry beating margins. And that's despite CPU's early mover advantage, superior scale and greater capacity to invest in technology.
So, who knows really? Blockchain or otherwise, one would have to assume continuing technological evolutiopn (and perhaps revolution) in this space. So, yes, I guess it's a threat. It's one of the key reasons I, personally, have not yet invested here, and am looking for a deeper price discount (which may never eventuate).
