70's apartment under 50sqm.... unexpectedly small for that era.
Even worse for the young lad. Why on earth would a student (earning or not) buy their first (existing) property without some sort of approval.
But anyway, either way, that sort of loss will hurt the young lad. Hopefully there was some sort of approval and he can claim compensation from the bank.
