Hi Firstcorp,
The phase one drill results reported:
Hole TSB06-12
1.0 metre @ 6.4g/t Au, 160ppm U3O8 (0.16 kg/t)
INCLUDING
0.2 metre @ 13.7g/t Au, 257ppm U3O8 (0.26 kg/t)
0.2 metre @ 9.5g/t Au, 73ppm U3O8
Hole TSB06-09
0.4 metre @ 2.7g/t Au, 470ppm U3O8 (0.47 kg/t)
INCLUDING
0.2 metre @ 5.0g/t Au, 771ppm U3O8 (0.77 kg/t)
DD occurs as shoots of Gold + U308 concentrated within conglomerate beds. These conglomerate beds have a strike area of approx 4km.
The drill results do not specify at what depth these intersections were made, but previous drilling confirms a shallow deposit. The core samples do not indicate the width or length of the mineralisation and as preliminary drilling would be widely spaced, obviously, further drilling will be needed to confirm this.
Once enough drilling is completed for CCIC to map the reef, they will know the depth, width and length of each shoot and digging it up should be straight forward.
Dis: These are my personal opinions.
Southern Sphere mapped the contact reef in the 1970's, but 5 of the preliminary holes showed potential for extention to the reef.
