No Selby that is not what I want though it is what the government apparently thinks we want as they are so busy legislating to control our lives. It seems in Australia these days there is a rule for everything from the cradle to the grave. It begins nicely with a $4,000 gift at birth and ends with anti-euthanasia laws to keep us under the thumb even on our death beds.
But my reply to you was about your belief that economics is the be all and end all. My belief is that economics is but one aspect of life, a fairly important one but certainly not the be all and end all. Therefore governments which make all the laws we live with which affect all aspects of our lives have to much more than good economic managers. Dave R.
